  • Living Safely with Disabilities and Health Care Needs

  • Living Safely Center for Safety - People with disabilities are often at increased risk of injury. Yet, when safety education and resources are provided, they might not be relevant, understandable, or accessible to those with disabilities. To resolve this problem, we have created a one stop hub of safety resources in multiple formats to increase accessibility, understanding, and use.
  • NJ Poison Control Center - Also known as the New Jersey Poison Information and Education System (NJPIES), is the state’s primary defense against injury and deaths from poisoning. NJPIES experts are standing by 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of poisoning for the general public and healthcare professionals across the state.
  • New Jersey Register Ready - helps people with disabilities to register their special needs with their county office of emergency management. NJ residents with special needs are encouraged to complete the online registration annually.
