Kara Wheeler, AuD, CCC-A

Clinical Audiologist

Dr. Wheeler earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders in 2018 and her Doctorate of Audiology in 2022 from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She joined the Audiology team at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in 2021 as a clinical extern and at the end of her externship year in 2022 she joined the team as a full-time clinical audiologist.

Throughout Dr. Wheeler’s graduate studies, she worked as a research assistant with a special interest in hearing loss and cognitive decline. She currently specializes in vestibular evaluations, comprehensive audiologic evaluations, hearing aid services, and cochlear implants.

Dr. Wheeler is licensed to practice audiology in the State of New Jersey and Massachusetts. She holds a Certification of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. She is thrilled to continue her career here at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
