Support Groups and Exercise Programs for Patients with Parkinsons DiseaseCooperman Barnabas Medical Center in conjunction with The Leon and Toby Cooperman JCC in West Orange offers an innovative program designed for individuals with Parkinson's and other neuromuscular/movement disorders. These programs are held throughout the month. Participants can enroll in the complete series or select individual classes. Unless noted, registration is required by calling (973) 322-8195.

  • Parkinson's Support Group — talk, share and learn from others diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
  • Parkinson's Caregiver Support Group — This support group is focused on issues affecting spouse or family caregiver.
  • Parkinson's Early Onset Support Group — This support group is for individuals around 60 or younger who have been diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson’s disease.
  • Rock Steady Boxing Class — Promotes muscle and neurological triggers helpful in combating Parkinson’s, improving gait, balance, and coordination through footwork and glove work. To learn more or to register, please call (973) 322-7014.
