Research

undefinedAt Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, the way we develop, enhance and evolve nursing research is vital to the exceptional care we deliver. Nurses use research to provide evidence-based care that promotes quality health outcomes for individuals, families, communities and health care systems. Nurses also use research to shape health policy in direct care, within an organization, and at the local, state and federal levels.

We strengthen our research capacities by reinforcing internal structures, and educational resources. The Inquiry Council and the Professional Nurse Practice Council (PNPC) are avenues for nurses to integrate research and best practice into our organization.

The Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Library provides a vast array of peer-reviewed evidence, tutorials and library services for every stage of our nurses’ professional growth.

The Inquiry Council provides oversight, mentoring, education and guidance to nurses and students on Quality Improvement, Evidence-Based Practice and Research studies.
