ERIC F. AND LORE ROSS LOBBY
The Eric F. and Lore Ross Lobby welcomes patients and visitors to a transformed Saint Barnabas Medical Center. Natural light, views of pocket gardens on our campus, and soaring ceilings create a modern-yet-warm introduction to the Cooperman Family Pavilion. Patients navigate the hospital with ease from the Eric F. and Lore Ross Lobby. Comfortable seating, wayfinding assistance, and easy access to elevators furthers our commitment to providing the very best patient and family experience. Schonbraun Family Registration and Kogan Family Non-Invasive Diagnostic Testing, located on the Ground Floor, set the standard for patient convenience. The soon-to-be expanded Same Day Surgery Center features Saint Barnabas Medical Center Anesthesiologists Waiting Area and Community Advocates Lounge.
THREE MEDICAL/SURGICAL INPATIENT UNITS
Patients receive outstanding nursing care at Saint Barnabas Medical Center and within Cooperman Family Pavilion. Three new units, comprising 114 spacious and thoughtfully-appointed private rooms, embrace the communities we serve. Arrayed throughout are distinctive amenities supporting our commitment to patient-centered care. For example, The Canastra and Hammer Family Visitors Lounge and Canastra and Hammer Family Rehabilitation Gym are important additions to the Fourth Floor, as is The Gebroe Family Nurses Station on the Second Floor of Cooperman Family Pavilion.
NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (NICU)
The new 37,000 square-foot Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has expanded five-fold on the Third Floor of the Cooperman Family Pavilion. The Dr. Sun Newborn Intensive Care Floor is home to world-class neonatal care. The re-envisioned NICU is anchored by the Saint Barnabas Medical Center Neonatologists Nurses Station, opens to the Miracle Walk Lobby. Each Infant Care Bay features privacy-promoting retractable glass walls. The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey Private Room & Isolation Suite and Rosanne H. Silbermann Foundation Family Lounge & Sibling Play Area further enhance our dedication to hope and healing for the region’s smallest patients.
The Cooperman Family Pavilion includes four new operating suites which are nearly twice the size of our existing operating rooms. Each new 700 square-feet room accommodates the most advanced minimally-invasive surgical technology. The Lilyan and Morton Kreitchman Hybrid Operating Suite, which features interventional radiology, allows our exceptional surgeons to diagnose and treat myriad medical conditions and is where the revolutionary TAVR procedure is performed. The new Operating Rooms opened April 2016.
NEW PARKING GARAGE
A long-anticipated four-level Parking Garage is a reality on our campus. Offering easy access to the Cooperman Family Pavilion, elevator service, and electric car charging stations, the Parking Garage will be well-utilized by visitors to Saint Barnabas Medical Center.
