Joanne Chan has more than 10 years of experience serving the Chinese community in the health and social services fields. She speaks fluent Cantonese, Mandarin and Fuzhounese dialects.

She previously served as a bilingual case worker for Lutheran Family & Community services and received her Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University.

As the patient navigator for the Chinese Medical Program at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, she is committed to providing culturally and linguistically appropriate health care to Chinese Americans in New Jersey. Using her skills as a translator, she helps native Chinese speakers overcome language barriers to accessing medical care.
