Message from the Program Director
The RWJ Somerset Family Medicine Residency Program is distinguished by its commitment to graduate medical education and its excellence in family medicine. As the only residency program based at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, our program has provided unparalleled opportunities for one-on-one learning experiences since the residency was established in 1975. For 40 years, we have been training residents for the practice of full spectrum family medicine. Our graduates tell us they feel very well prepared for their careers. They are practicing all over the United States and in every kind of role that you can imagine.
At a time when many graduate and training programs are narrowing their focus, we have been able to maintain taking care of our patients wherever they need care. You will find yourself side by side with faculty taking care of your patients in the office, in the hospital, and in the community.
