How to Apply

Dental ResidencyRobert Wood Johnson interviews approximately 30 applicants. Criteria for interview are based on a combination of factors including but not limited to; class rank, board scores, letters of recommendation and essay.

Note: The National Matching service is NOT required. We DO NOT participate in the Match

Applications are only accepted through the Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS) program. Application information is available from the PASS Web site or from the Dean's Office at your school.

Eligibility Requirements

The application deadline is October 1st
All applicants must be eligible for a Dental residency Permit from The New Jersey State Board of Dentistry and must be a graduate of an ADA accredited dental school.

All applications for the program must be submitted through the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) PASS program (Postdoctoral Application Support Service). There is a fee for this service. You can also contact them at:

Only applicants with completed applications will be evaluated and considered for acceptance. Additional materials should be sent after the PASS application has been completed to:

All completed applications will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee for the program. Selected applicants will receive notification to appear for an interview. Interviews are scheduled early November, usually on a Wednesday, and applicants that are selected for an interview should plan on spending half a day at the program.
