Cardiac Cath Lab Offers Minimally Invasive Catheter-Based Interventions

Our cardiovascular catheterization lab has the latest equipment, techniques and devices for diagnosing and treating heart and vascular disease.

Innovative catheter-based interventions include coronary angioplasty, vascular diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and endovascular interventions.

RWJUH Hamilton is a center for elective angioplasty, a minimally invasive procedure in which a small balloon is threaded through a catheter and inflated to open a blocked artery and restore blood flow to the heart. Highly experienced interventional cardiologists on staff at RWJUH Hamilton are available to perform elective angioplasties. These procedures are designed to treat heart attack and chest pain syndromes and prevent the need for more invasive interventions.

Our specialized clinicians and state-of-the-art facilities offer patients individualized care with faster recovery times and fewer complications, close to home.
