Bring a community hospital to a suburban setting in Hamilton. Those were the thoughts of a few local leaders who dared to undertake the monumental task of making this vision a reality. They were dedicated to building a dream and strengthening a community.

In 1971, at the hospital's dedication ceremony, New Jersey's Commissioner of Health shared with the audience: "You now have a beautiful building, now you have to build a hospital." And so they did, knowing that a medical facility, no matter how modern, is only as good as the men and women who staff it.

Over the past half-century, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton and you, our friends, our team, and supporters, have been partners in creating a strong, vibrant and healthy community. Now, it is a regional destination for cutting-edge medical care, providing the latest in cancer care, neurosciences, orthopedics and bariatrics, and so much more.

As we welcome the New Year, let’s be reminded of everyone’s contributions that helped make this milestone such a success and let’s watch and view some of those unforgettable memories.
