"Everybody at Robert Wood Johnson was extremely compassionate and
went out of their way to make sure that I was taken care of."
A near fatal car crash left Gabriel Hurley with no sense of smell and a
life in perpetual darkness. However, he wasn’t going to let this
horrific incident stop him from going forward in life. Today, Gabriel
uses his experience to caution young adults on the dangers of distracted
driving. He credits his ability to carry on with the support he received
from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. The staff was compassionate,
went out of their way to ensure that he was taken care of and made sure
Gabe was able to play on.
