Why did you choose this program? I have had the unique opportunity of knowing the doctors that come to Cooperman Barnabas for my entire life as I grew up around the area. Throughout the years I've seen the types of physicians that graduate from the program and I wanted to be like them. Surgically they are one of the best trained ob/gyns. Program wise, it has a strong sense of comraderie and support. I wanted a program that I know would train me well as well as become part of my family, and that is what Cooperman Barnabas has done for me.

Why did you choose this program? I chose this program for a handful of reasons. I was primarily drawn to St. Barnabas because I wanted to train in a high volume program that was known for their surgically competent residents. Additionally, I was looking for a diverse group of residents that were queer friendly. Finally, I also greatly considered the close approximation to the city and my family members in Long Island.

Why did you choose this program? Many reasons! First and foremost, I was struck by how tangible and genuine the sense of family is among the staff and residents. The residents I met were people I would choose as friends and colleagues. The Barnabas-Rutgers communiversity model merges clinical practice and academic medicine/research in a critical and awesome way. No door is shut, whether to become a competent generalist or sub-specialist. I knew the OB volume at Cooperman Barnabas would be challenging but shape me into a confident physician. Most importantly at the end of the day, it was just my gut feeling that I would be happy in the program!
