APP Fellowship Curriculum

All Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellows will follow a strict curriculum consisting of didactics, rotations, simulations and evaluations.

Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship

During your orientation, all APP Fellows will attend daily Noon Core lectures. Throughout the year, APP Fellows will participate in Friday Didactic Day lectures alongside Pulmonary & Critical Care Medical Fellows. Lectures begin at 8:00 a.m., a new topic covered each week, and case studies.

All participants will have access to textbooks and other learning resources for all rotations. Each rotation will have its own goals and objectives, quizzes, and will conclude with an evaluation.

Rotations include:

  • Medical ICU
  • Surgical/Trauma ICU
  • Neuro ICU
  • Cardiothoracic ICU
  • Neurosurgery
  • House
  • Infectious Disease
  • Renal
  • Cardiology
  • Radiology
  • Pulmonary

Each APP Fellow will need to complete simulation training. All simulations will be conducted in the SIM lab. Times will vary based on type of simulation.

Each quarter, Program Directors will meet with the APP Fellow to discuss rotation evaluations, clinical progress and career planning.
