We’re Talking About It!
CancerCare and The Cancer Program at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center’s Department of Psychosocial Support Services will offer a two–hour workshop for parents or caregivers with cancer, their partners and their children, ages 5 and up. The workshop, led by licensed social workers from CancerCare and Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, will help families learn to cope and communicate with each other more effectively. Children’s needs for accurate information and emotional support during a loved one’s cancer treatment will be discussed. The evening will include pizza, fun activities for the kids and an evening of sharing and support.
