Story Telling Event Around Domestic Violence Prevention

Storytellers have been carefully selected to bring the audience into deeper understanding of the cycle of violence and the resilience of survivors. Additional performances by local New Brunswick teenagers who completed a transformational learning experience offered through the AMARD&V: Healing Through the Arts-Expansion Program at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, with the goal that they become Teen Dating Violence Prevention Ambassadors in their communities. 

The hope of this storytelling event is to spread awareness about survivors of domestic violence, the community resources available for victims, and to bring light to this frequently hidden crime.

The event will take place on Sunday, October 1 from 2-4 p.m. at the front courtyard of the First Reformed Church of New Brunswick, 9 Bayard Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. The rain location will be inside the church. There will be no admission charge and light refreshments will follow the event.
