How to Act Fast for Stroke - Monmouth Medical Center

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, strokes are the fifth leading cause of death in the United States and are a major cause of adult disability. The best way to protect yourself and loved ones from stroke is to understand personal risk and how to manage it.

This program, led by Erin Winkels, RN, BSN, Stroke Coordinator from Monmouth Medical Center Stroke Center, will educate the public about signs and symptoms of stroke and what to do in a stroke emergency. Attendees will learn about prevention and how to act FAST for stroke and discuss nutrition for stroke prevention as well as the importance of weight management with our dietitian and nurse practitioner.
