Special Case Records, A Family's Palliative Care Journey - Newark Beth Israel Medical Center
Special Case Records, A Family's Palliative Care Journey, Tuesday,
Sept. 19 10 a.m.
All are invited to attend a special presentation by The Gladden Family,
who lost two children to Lupus. On Tuesday, September 19 at 10 am in the
Parsonnet Auditorium at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, they will share
their journey and discuss how one hospital’s Palliative Care program
helped them and their daughter through her final days.
Palliative medicine looks at the symptoms that affect a patient's quality of life, and maps out plans that offer medical, emotional and spiritual support. Different than hospice care, where patients have a prognosis of six months or less, palliative medicine can be beneficial for pain and symptoms at any point in a serious illness. The public is also invited to this not to be missed inspiring and educational event.
Please call 973-926-3803 to register.
