Basics of Diabetes - Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's latest study, diabetes is becoming more common in the United States with the number of diagnosed Americans tripling from 5.6 million to 20.9 million. To spread awareness and educate people about diabetes, its risk factors and how to manage the disease, the Center for Healthy Aging at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus presents Basics of Diabetes, with Irene McNamara, MSN, RN, WCC, CDE who will discuss prevention and treatment options as well as provide free blood glucose screenings to attendees who have fasted for two hours prior to the test.
