A Little DASH Will Do You Good - Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus
The Center for Healthy Aging at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus
has joined the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in promoting DASH,
Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension, a healthy lifestyle plan aimed at lowering blood pressure and cholesterol
levels across the country. This program focuses on reducing the risk of
cardiovascular disease, which effects an estimated 81 million people,
by incorporating regular exercise, coupled with smoking cessation and
moderation of alcohol and sodium, into everyday life.
