Oral Health and Diabetes at Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center

We have all heard about the scary consequences of poor blood sugar control that can include damage to the kidneys, damage to the eyes, damage to the nerves, and increased risk of heart disease. Were you also aware that people with diabetes are more prone to periodontal disease and tooth loss? At this support group Dr. Eric C. Weiss will come in to discuss what you need to know about periodontal disease and diabetes and how you can prevent it. Dr. Weiss is a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and has been practicing periodontics and implant dentistry since 1992. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Weiss is an attending periodontist at Newark Beth Israel and Cooperman Barnabas Medical Centers. He practices in Livingston, NJ.
