Virtual Diabetes Alert Day

Virtual Diabetes Alert Day

Hosted by The Center for Diabetes Wellness and Prevention

Diabetes Alert Day is a “wake-up call” that focuses on the seriousness of diabetes and the importance of understanding your risk.

Did You Know?

  • Diabetes affects 34 million Americans and 21.4 percent, almost 1 in 4 people, are unaware that they have the disease.
  • Another 88 million Americans have prediabetes, a condition in which blood glucose levels are higher than normal, but not high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes.
  • Nine out of 10 adults with prediabetes don’t know they have it.

On Diabetes Alert Day, join the Center for Diabetes Wellness and Prevention, located at the Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center, to learn more about diabetes, including risk factors, signs, symptoms, and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment.

Registration required. You will receive a GoToMeeting invite 2 days prior to the meeting.
