Diabetes and The Heart: What You Need to Know

People with diabetes have a higher risk of having a heart attack.

At February’s Diabetes Support Group, presented by the Center for Diabetes Wellness and Prevention at Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center, Maureen Smith, MSN, RN, Clinical Director of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, will explain the effects of diabetes on the heart and discuss steps that one can take to reduce risk.
