Leveraging Autistic College Students' Possibilities in the Classroom and Beyond

How can colleges and universities, rapidly seeing an influx of autistic students on their campuses, more adeptly and thoughtfully serve these neurodivergent learners?

Dr. Brett Ranon Nachman will draw on his personal experiences as an autistic student, his body of research on autism and higher education, emergent work on autistic college students, and tangible examples to provide ways for college practitioners to create more welcoming classroom experiences for autistic college students. Throughout, he will share strengths-based approaches that will lead educators to be more intentional and inclusive when working with their autistic college students.

Speaker: Brett Rampm Nachman, Ph.D.; Postdoctoral Research Scholar, Belk Center for Community College Leadership and Research, NC State University.
