    Sanjeev Sabharwal, MD, MPH, is an orthopaedic surgeon at Rutgers North Jersey Orthopaedic Institute (RNJOI). He is a Professor of Orthopaedics and Chief of Pediatric Orthopaedics at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (RNJMS). In addition, Dr. Sabharwal is the past President of the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society (LLRS). Following an orthopaedic residency in Vancouver at the University of British Columbia, Dr. Sabharwal did an 18-month fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics and scoliosis at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles and Shriners Hospitals for Children––Los Angeles. He also trained at the International Center for Limb Lengthening in Baltimore, a well known center for the correction of limb deformities. Dr. Sabharwal treats children and young adults with a wide spectrum of musculoskeletal problems, including limb and spinal deformities, limb length discrepancy and injuries to bones and soft tissues. He is also interested in the orthopaedic management of children with various neuromuscular disorders including cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and spinal muscular atrophy, and is actively involved in enhancing orthopaedic education in underserved regions internationally. Dr. Sabharwal is an invited speaker at national and international orthopaedic meetings on a regular basis. He is an active member of several other orthopaedic societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) and the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS). He has published extensively and has recently edited a comprehensive textbook on lower limb deformities in children. He also serves as a deputy editor for the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research.
