    Matin Imanguli, MD, DDS, is an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery & Chief of Head and Neck Oncologic and Reconstructive Surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Imanguli is a graduate of The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Hospital in Dallas, one of the largest and busiest hospitals in the United States. He then pursued additional training in Head and Neck Oncologic, Skull Base and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Alabama Medical Center. He is currently the only academic Head and Neck Oncologic Surgeon in Central New Jersey and one of the very few in the state.

    Dr. Imanguli completed a research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute where he studied immunology of graft versus host disease and stem cell transplantation. He published multiple scientific papers and book chapters and delivered presentations at national and international meetings on various cancer related topics. Prior to bgoing to medical school, Dr. Imanguli trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Medicine. This additional training gives him a unique perspective on conditions of Maxillofacial region. In addition to his dental practice, Dr. Imanguli worked with Doctors Without Borders in refugee populated areas of Azerbaijan. Dr. Imanguli specializes in management of benign and malignant conditions of the head and neck region as well as reconstruction following oncologic surgery. He is trained in minimally invasive techniques including transoral robotic surgery (TORS), transoral laser microsurgery (TLM) and endoscopic skull base surgery. He practices at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.
