Professional Registered Nurse Residency Program at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center

SBMC RN Residency Program

Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center is offering The Professional Registered Nurse Residency Program for the newly licensed BSN graduate with less than one year of experience.

This one year long program consists of nursing orientation and clinical orientation followed by monthly sessions geared to mold and support the new graduate nurse to fully transition to practice.

Application requirements for participation include:

  • Graduated from a BSN program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Possession of an active unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey
  • Possession of American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers Certification
  • Less than 12 months work experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting
  • Hired as a Full Time Registered Nurse
