Melissa K. White, American Cancer Society Patient NavigatorMelissa K. White

Melissa is a certified Patient Navigator through the Harold P. Freeman Patient Navigation Institute. With over 12 years of experience in the field, her expertise is identifying barriers cancer patients might experience during treatment and finding resources to remove them. As the American Cancer Society (ACS) Patient Navigator, Melissa is at CMC everyday to meet with patients and work closely with the clinical nurse navigators. She also manages the services at the Inspiration Boutique, including the ACS Free Wig program, ACS Look Good…Feel Better (free makeover) program, ACS Cancer Resource Volunteer program and Reiki and other complementary services. Melissa’s passion to help comes from her personal experiences with cancer and her “always show kindness to those in need” upbringing.
