RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, is seeking Internal Medicine Nocturnists/Hospitalists to join our ICU team at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. This is a great opportunity for an eager physician to join a well-established Critical Care team with a strong support staff including advanced practice providers (APPs), residents and fellows.

More about the role:

  • Knowledgeable in evidence-based, up-to-date principles, practice and management of medical, surgical, neurological and neurosurgical critically ill patients
  • Provides consultation and follow-up for patients with potentially life-threatening or unstable conditions
  • Participates in and co-manage patients in a high acuity, multidisciplinary critical care unit
  • Performs critical care procedures as approved at time of appointment / re-appointment
  • Participates in hospital programs and adheres to system and institutional policies and protocols
  • Conducts and participates in the Division, departmental and hospital quality / performance improvement activities as necessary
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to provide supervision and leadership to APPs, fellows, residents, and nursing staff alike
  • 7 pm – 730 am one week on/one week off
  • Ability to take initiative and work with direct and / or indirect supervision

Candidate requirements:

  • ABIM (American Board of Internal Medicine) Board Certified / Board Eligible
  • Current NJ license or eligible for licensure
  • Current DEA and NJ CDS
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

 

We are open to new graduates as well as experienced physicians! Please note that current trainees can earn up to $24,000 with the residency stipend program if they choose to join RWJBH during the final year of residency!
