Rutgers Health and RWJBarnabas Health are recruiting three pediatric surgeons at assistant/associate/full professor level to the Pediatric Surgery Division at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.  The primary practice site is Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.  This is the largest children’s hospital in New Jersey.  There will be responsibilities to cover other hospitals within the health care system.  The hospital has a dedicated pediatric OR suite that is fully staffed by pediatric anesthesiologists and pediatric nursing staff.  It has the most surgical volume in the state of NJ.  This is an opportunity to work in the most comprehensive academic health care provider in New Jersey, collaborating with a wide range of other pediatric subspecialists.   • This full-time pediatric surgery position is part of a thriving pediatric referral center, and also includes participation with both the pediatric and surgical residency programs, offering the opportunity to collaborate with a continuum of pediatric subspecialists. 
  • Cases performed include neonatal surgeries, minimally invasive procedures, abdominal and thoracic surgery, and pediatric surgical oncology cases.
  • ACS verified level II pediatric trauma center and an ECMO center

We are open to new graduates as well as experienced physicians! Please note that trainees can earn up to $24,000 with the fellowship stipend program if they choose to join RWJBH during the final year of fellowship!
