Deanna SperlingHello, I am Deanna Sperling, MAS, RN, NE-BC, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center. On behalf of our staff, I am pleased to welcome you as a new employee. You have shown that you possess the skills and share in the core values that are essential to our success. We are dedicated to providing high quality health care; to ensuring patient, physician and employee satisfaction; and to responsible financial management, execution and sustainability.

As a member of our staff, you now represent our network of behavioral health services and the only inpatient psychiatric facility in Ocean County.

Few health care providers in the state of New Jersey can match the vast array of behavioral health services and substance abuse treatment programs provided by the Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center.

The Behavioral Health Center is uniquely positioned to seamlessly integrate behavioral health care and medical services, resulting in unparalleled continuity of care. And, ongoing research on the mind, brain and behavior holds out hope for reliable diagnostic tests and new treatments in the future.

Our dedicated team of behavioral health specialists has made progress in dealing with the complexities of psychiatric illness. In so doing, they have helped individuals adapt to difficult challenges and thrive through the seasons of life through services such as:

  • intensive inpatient programs
  • structured outpatient services
  • crisis intervention services
  • child and adolescent services and
  • a broad range of counseling services

Further, our The Institute for Prevention is leading the way in reducing at-risk behavior, working tirelessly to reduce the factors that place individuals, families and communities at risk. A leader in the development and delivery of specialized prevention programming, the Institute partners with businesses to establish healthy workplaces, strengthens school services through a wide range of workshops for educators, parents and students, and offers hundreds of additional prevention and wellness workshops for agencies and communities. Its innovative programming targets tobacco prevention, addictions, youth sportsmanship, behavioral health, and social and family issues.

We believe that each employee is responsible for creating a healing environment in which our patients and their families feel cared for and safe.

We take pride in our employees and expect them to share in our commitment to deliver the finest health care in the State of New Jersey.

I welcome you and I wish you success.
