Patient Care Units

Dear Colleagues, Patients and Families:

Our nursing staff has been consistently recognized for the exceptional care they provide through many national awards, invitations to present at prestigious national nursing conferences and article submissions to scholarly journals.

The excellence of our nursing practice was affirmed recently when our hospital earned the prestigious Magnet® designation for the fifth time on our New Brunswick campus by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). In previous years, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital’s (RWJUH) Critical Care Nursing Team received the Beacon Award for Nursing Excellence from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and RWJUH was given the American Nursing Association’s Outstanding Nursing Quality Award.

At The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital (BMSCH) at RWJUH, we place a high value on the Magnet® model which includes Transformational Leadership, Exemplary Practice, New Knowledge and Innovations and Structural Empowerment. This model serves as the foundation of our nursing practice as we take every opportunity to integrate its principles into all we do for our patients, families and staff.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you and make your experience at BMSCH the best that it can be.

Sincerely,

Lori A. Colineri, DNP, RN, NEA-BC
Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer
