Aug 20, 2020 RWJBarnabas Health Names Alexander King, M.D., Regional Director of Breast Radiology for Southern Region

Alexander King, M.D.Eatontown, NJ – RWJBarnabas Health has named Alexander King, M.D. the Regional Director of Breast Radiology for the RWJBarnabas Health Southern Region. A board-certified radiologist, Dr. King is responsible for the overall clinical quality provided at all affiliated breast imaging facilities located at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood and Community Medical Center in Toms River. In addition, Dr. King will collaborate with physician and administrative leadership to develop new programs that improve access to breast imaging services for Monmouth and Ocean counties.

Prior to accepting this position, Dr. King served as attending breast radiologist with RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group, providing breast imaging and intervention at all three Southern Regional hospitals. He joined Monmouth Medical Center as an attending physician in July 2016 and has spent the last four years assisting in the growth of the breast health practices across the Southern Region. A lifelong resident of Monmouth County, Dr. King, Spring Lake, is proud to serve his local community and help spread awareness for breast health and early detection practices. Presently, he is focused on meeting the needs of patients and the community while maintaining safe practices in the new environment since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

Dr. King received his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Piscataway. He completed his internship in Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York. He completed a Diagnostic Radiology residency at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. He also completed fellowship training in Breast Imagine and Intervention at Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center, Livingston. His professional affiliations include the American College of Radiology, Society of Breast Imaging and Radiological Society of New Jersey.
