Medical Center provides dialysis services in various locations

Trinitas Regional Medical Center's new Cranford Dialysis Center opened last week with a festive ribbon cutting ceremony and Open House reception.

Trinitas has partnered with Excelerate HCS to open the town of Cranford's first dialysis center at Cranford Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, located at 205 Birchwood Ave. Their common goal is to serve more New Jersey residents with a potential 5-star service, including the best equipment, staff, and care in a brand new setting.

"We are happy to introduce our new Dialysis Center to the community and health care professionals," says Gary S. Horan, FACHE, President and CEO of Trinitas Regional Medical Center. "This is the culmination of years of hard work, and to see it finally come to fruition is very satisfying." Trinitas also operates Dialysis Centers in Linden and Elizabeth.

The dialysis center features nine private beds, each with TV, and dialysis services are available three shifts per day, from Monday through Saturday. There is also a reception area and a private lot with ample parking. For more information call 908-272-6660.

Joseph L. McTernan, DHSc, FACHE, Vice President/Special Operations, who spearheaded the project, says, "Trinitas is proud to expand our Renal Center of Excellence with the addition of Trinitas Cranford Dialysis. As one of the first dialysis programs in NJ, we are continuing this life-sustaining service to the community. Additionally, the new center offers a major convenience to dialysis patients of the Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, who will no longer be required to travel to an outpatient destination for treatments, thereby saving time and resources for all involved."

Cranford Mayor Patrick Giblin, who was among the invited guests to join the celebration, added, "Thanks to Excelerate HCS and Trinitas Regional Medical Center for their investment in our community."
