Jun 19, 2019 Boy Scouts of America to Honor Former Eagle Scout and RWJBarnabas Health Board Member Robert Margulies with “Good Scout” Award

Robert MarguliesWest Orange, NJ, June 19, 2019 – RWJBarnabas Health today announced Robert E. Margulies, Esq., a member of the RWJBarnabas Health Corporate Board, will be honored by the Boy Scouts of America at the organization’s Distinguished Health Care Service Awards. He will receive the “Good Scout” recognition at the organization’s Awards Dinner on June 19 at Mayfair Farms. The Boy Scouts are honoring Mr. Margulies, a former Eagle Scout himself, for his work in health care.

Mr. Margulies is a partner of the law firm Schumann Hanlon Margulies LLC, a full-service law practice with concentration on litigation, commercial matters, personal injury, civil rights, employment and discrimination, insurance, products liability and Appellate practice. He has tried numerous civil, chancery, probate, family and criminal cases, and has participated in at least twenty cases with published opinions. Mr. Margulies also has developed an active mediation and arbitration practice.

He serves on the Boards of RWJBarnabas Health and Jersey City Medical Center, where he is Chairman.

A member of the American and New Jersey State Bar Associations, Mr. Margulies serves on both the Supreme Court of New Jersey Arbitration Advisory Committee and the Supreme Court Complementary Dispute Resolution Committee. He is on the rosters of the American Arbitration Association and the Superior Court of New Jersey as a mediator. He serves as a mediator mentor. He is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.

In addition to his recognition by the Boy Scouts, Mr. Margulies has received numerous awards, including by the independent rating organizations as a “Super Lawyer,” “Best Lawyer in America” and the New York area’s “Best Lawyers in Alternative Dispute Resolution.”
