Newark, NJ (January 23, 2018) – In honor of the life and legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, an RWJBarnabas Health facility partnered with Jersey Cares to provide First Night Kits for the Goodwill Rescue Mission in Newark. Newark Beth Israel employees assembled kits to benefit the city’s homeless residents.

RWJBarnabas Health’s MLK Week of Service program is supported by the RWJBarnabas Health Social Impact and Community Investment Practice and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.

The Week of Service program includes volunteer opportunities for employees as well as commemorative educational events at facilities throughout the state.
