More than 300 guests attended the 15th Annual Queen of the Golden Age Celebration hosted by the Honorable Luis A. Quintana, Council Vice President and Councilman-At-Large for the City of Newark and FOCUS, Inc. Hispanic Center for Community Development. At the September 13th event which was held at the Mediterranean Manor in Newark’s Ironbound, Mary Ellen Clyne, President and Chief Executive Officer of Clara Maass Medical Center received the recognition as Queen of the Golden Age for 2018 for her support and service to Newark’s community of senior citizens. Community Leaders Lydia Cotty and Genoveva Isona were also recognized. Highlights from the luncheon included the official crowning and presentation of Senior Queens from the various centers throughout the community that will represent the City of Newark for 2018-2019.
