One Of America’s Top 100 Hospitals And Health Systems With Great Oncology Programs

(New Brunswick, NJ) – Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital’s Cancer Hospital has been named one of America’s top 100 hospitals and health systems with great oncology programs by Becker’s Hospital Review.

Hospitals and health systems selected for this list lead the way in oncology expertise, outcomes, research, and treatment options. Hospitals were selected based on rankings, ratings, designations and outstanding achievement awards for the specialty from a range of firms and clinical bodies, including U.S. News & World Report, CareChex, BlueCross BlueShield Association, National Cancer Institute and American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.

The hospital's Women's Imaging Center offers the latest in digital mammography technology, breast, and gynecological ultrasound. The Center performs stereotactic breast biopsy, ultrasound-guided core breast biopsy and ultrasound-guided fine-needle biopsy, as well as needle-localization for breast biopsy and lumpectomy.

The Radiation Oncology Department provides intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), brachytherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, precise, high-dose radiation treatment therapy, as well as CT simulation, a body scanning technology providing high-resolution images to map tumor location.
