President and Chief Executive Officer of Children’s Specialized Hospital, Warren E. Moore, FACHE, was honored with the Harold L. Conover Leadership Award from his alma mater, Rider University, on Saturday June 9, 2018.
The Harold L. Conover Leadership award is given to a Rider University alumnus who exhibits exemplary leadership qualities in a non-profit organization, community agency, professional organization or government service. Moore was recognized for his 20 plus years of leadership at Children’s Specialized Hospital and for the expertise he has provided to various committees throughout the health care industry over the years.
During his tenure, he has guided a team of 1,400 employees to increase access to care for children with special health care needs throughout the country. Due to Moore’s unwavering dedication, Children’s Specialized Hospital, the nation’s leading provider of inpatient and outpatient care for children birth to 21 years, has expanded from treating 2,000 children per year to over 34,000 annually at 13 locations across New Jersey. His compassion and commitment
to the organization’s patients, families, staff and volunteers embodies all that the Harold L. Conover Leadership Award represents.
“To be recognized by my alma mater for the work that I have done, with the tools their education provided me, is incredibly humbling,” said Moore. “I am thankful for all of the opportunities Rider University and Children’s Specialized Hospital have given me, and I look forward to collaborating with our patients and families to build a world where all children can reach their full potential.”
Prior to receiving his master’s degree in health and human service administration at Rider University in 2005, he received a Bachelor of Science in business management from the University of Maryland. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Ronald McDonald House of Central & Northern New Jersey and the Health Research & Educational Trust (HRET) of New Jersey. He is on the Quality and Safety Committee at the Children’s Hospital Association and serves on several health care committees throughout the state of New Jersey. Moore is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
