SOMERVILLE, NJ, July 10, 2018 – Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset recently celebrated the graduation of seven physicians from its Family Medicine Residency Program.

Members of the Class of 2018 include:

  • Daniela Accurso, MD, MPH, of Morristown, who was Chief Resident. Dr. Accurso is a graduate of St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine. She will be joining Martinsville Family Practice.
  • Zhanna A. Ivanov, MD, MS, of New Brunswick, who was Chief Resident and recipient of the Clinical Excellence Award. Dr. Ivanov is a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine. She will be joining a medical practice in New York City.
  • Rina Mehta, MD, of Somerville, who received the Integrative Medicine in Residency Award. Dr. Mehta is a graduate of Sr. Georges University School of Medicine. She will be joining a medical practice in New York City.
  • Shobha S. Patil, MD, of Somerville, who was Chief Resident and received the Integrative Medicine in Residency Award. Dr. Patil is a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine. She will be joining a medical practice in Houston, Texas.
  • Sayed M. Rohani, MD, of Somerville. Dr. Rohani is a graduate of American University of the Caribbean. He will be working with an urgent care facility in Northern New Jersey.
  • Taylor M. Shaker, MD, MS, of Bedminster. Dr. Shaker is a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine. She will be working at a women’s health practice in Montvale.
  • Vanessa Tabaac, MD, MS, MBA, of Somerville, who was the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Resident Teacher of the Year. Dr. Tabaac is a graduate of American University of the Caribbean. She will be joining a medical practice in Baltimore, Maryland.

During the ceremony, the Teacher of the Year Award was presented to Lou Brunetti, PharmD.
