Long Branch, N.J. – Monmouth Medical Center will be hosting their first blood drive of the new year on Friday, February 2nd from 10:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the hospital’s Unterberg Learning Center.
Monmouth Medical Center is encouraging employees, as well as community members, to donate. There is currently a shortage of blood in New Jersey and several agencies, including the American Red Cross, are on appeal, as the severe winter weather has caused the cancelation of hundreds of blood drives since the New Year’s.
This simple, selfless act takes less than an hour and helps save the lives of those in our local area. Donating blood helps to ensure a sustained and secure blood supply, should anyone ever need it.
All donors will receive a t-shirt, cafeteria voucher and a chance to win a $50 Visa gift card. Appointments are available online at www.rwjuhdonorclub.org or by calling Joanne Basket at 732-923-7373.
