Jul 17, 2014 Grateful Patient's Family Donates Slippers for Peds Patients

Thanks to some very generous donors, our pediatric patients at the Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital (BMSCH) will receive a welcome surprise: brand new slippers! Patient rooms can sometimes be chilly, and toes are the first to feel the effects. After her own experience as a patient at BMSCH, a young woman named Kaitlyn Cramer started collecting fuzzy slippers for children who are hospitalized, hoping to make someone sick feel warm inside. Kaitlyn’s wishes live on through her niece, Julia Cramer; her best friend, Lisa Wilson; and her parents, Susan and Dan Cramer. Although Susan and Dan now live in Virginia, they still feel connected to BMSCH and are grateful for the care that Kaitlyn received here. On Saturday, June 21, 2014 while visiting family in New Jersey, Susan and Dan stopped at the hospital to drop off three large totes full of brand new slippers so that no child’s toes go cold. We wish to thank the Cramer family for honoring Kaitlyn’s legacy in such a unique and thoughtful way.
