Our hospitals and medical centers are welcoming, inclusive environments, with physicians and staff dedicated in their commitment to equitably serve the needs of the LGBTQIA+ population.

Nationally Recognized Diversity Programs

LGBTQ Health Care Equality Index Leader We recognize the serious challenges facing LGBTQIA+ youth and adults, and stand in support of diversity and inclusion for all. Our program services includes policies intended to eliminate the disparities in care LGBTQIA+ patients often face when seeking medical care. We have been awarded the Leader in LGBT Healthcare Equality recognition by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation five consecutive times. This requires us to meet certain criteria:

  • Upholding an explicit patient non-discrimination policy
  • Instituting an equal visitation policy for LGBTQIA+ couples
  • Maintaining an employment non-discrimination policy
  • Staff training in LGBTQIA+ patient-centered care

Our staff regularly creates and attends community events that promote inclusion. We also aim to educate the community to counteract misleading information regarding common health concerns in the LGBTQIA+ community. Patient Health Navigators are available to assist patients with questions and concerns.
